The Domkogs

Gasim was born in Sudan during the decades-long civil war that plagued the country. Raised in a Muslim home, he later came to the United States as a refugee. After reading and studying the Bible for months he heard the Gospel clearly presented on television and trusted Christ as his Savior on May 25, 2005.

Immediately after his salvation, Gasim sought Bible training so he could return and share the truth of the Gospel with his family and people. While attending Bible college, he met his wife, Erika, and they were married on March 14, 2009.

In November 2012, Gasim and Erika, along with their two young sons, moved to Juba, South Sudan, to begin New Testament Baptist Church and School. God greatly blessed the ministry as they established a local church, a primary school, and a Bible college in Juba.

Due to increasing instability and unrest in South Sudan, Erika and their now three sons returned to the United States in 2018. In 2020, God led Gasim and Erika to plant South Haven Arabic Baptist Church under the sending ministry of South Haven Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee. God also gave them a little girl that same year completing their family.

Today, Gasim and Erika continue to minister both in the United States and South Sudan. They have a burden to give Arabic-speaking and English-speaking people the opportunity to hear a clear presentation of the Gospel, respond to Christ, and be discipled in a Biblically sound church.

Gasim also continues to make extended trips to Juba to help strengthen and encourage the ministries there as they continue to grow.
